Reviews

Like all model engineers, over the years I have gathered together many different pieces of equipment and used and abused them in different ways. Some of these I have described/reviewed online. Others are items I have reviewed in detail for Model Engineers’ Workshop magazine.

One of the issues with a formal review is that you are almost always reviewing the item ’as supplied’ and while you may do some test jobs with it, it is rare to have the opportunity to thoroughly test it out. It’s also true that many hobby engineers like to modify and tweak equipment, not because it is defective, but to make it better suit their needs or personal preferences. I am no exception.
